We need a way to track course usage in an aggregate way. I am on version 17, and I can't find a report that has a column or filter for last accessed. Is there a report or a creative way to view our organization's full list of courses and know when each one was last accessed or last assigned?

Hi Jacque

You can get this information using the Site Logs report source. I'll add some screenshots of how ours is set up, and hopefully you can recreate it (obviously our information will be different but it should make sense). Please note that on branch, this is the org branch of the person viewing so you may not want to include this (it will split out the results by branch)

When running the report for courses, the Event Class Name filter needs to equal:

\core\event\course_viewed

You can also use it for reports, the Event Class Name filter needs to equal:

\totara_reportbuilder\event\report_viewed

You can see the report name under 'Other info'

If you just want one course or report, you can use the course ID filter and add the course number or the Object Id for the report ID.

We use saved searches, as the logs are very slow to run.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Jane
