I know you can export questions, but can you export questions and the answers?

If so, could someone explain how this is done

Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately, this isn't really possible. The export options for quiz aren't designed to be exported in a human-readable format.

For example, the XML file includes the question and answer, but it's not easy to read as it contains code as well as the text (it's designed to allow the quiz to be imported into another Totara site).

I think it would need a feature request to offer new export options for a readable version. Or, you could submit a quiz attempt and then review the attempt. This will show all the questions and answers and you could choose to print this as a pdf file.

You can use LLMs to do the conversion for you. And there are many site that hosts converters as well. I use LLMs to convert questions and answers word documents to the GIFT format and upload them into Totara. Fantastic amount of saved time…
