Hello! I understand how to set up a new notification for learners to get a message when they are enrolled onto a course, however; I don't want to set up the notification and then users suddenly get millions of notifications for all the content already on the platform - I only want to to send a notification for new content.
If I set a notification for users to know when new content is available, will it only notify them from when I set it up, or will it back-log the notifications?

I'm on V17 and my understanding is that notifications only trigger for events that occur after the notifications task last ran.
So if you created an enrolment notification today, and the last notification task ran yesterday on 10/03/2026 at 11pm, only learners who enrol after 11pm on 10/03/2026 will receive it.
Anyone who enrolled before that time won’t meet the criteria and won’t get the notification.

If I update an activity within a course - a SCORM file for example - will it resend the notification?
in the example of an enrolment notification, I would say no as it is not affecting the learner's enrolment date.
