See who is an Admin user

Hi all,

How can I see if a user account is an admin user?

I have been to Users -> Accounts -> Browse List of Users and I can see the profile for any user but how can I tell if a particular user is an Admin?

Many thanks,

 Paul

Hi Paul

We get this problem a lot, largely because we allow our various decentralised L&D folk to set permissions within Categories.

We use the 'User's role assignments report' found via:

Front page: Site Adminstration > Reports > User's Roles

It has the added bonus of being able to unassign roes from the report.

Cheers

Looks like the User Roles report is a third party plugin:

Looks useful, but you will need to install it on your site as it's not part of core Totara.

It would be good to have a person's roles appear in their profile under the roles tab.

Currently the roles tab shows the locally assigned roles and override roles rather than the roles they may have at a system, frontpage, category, subcategory, course or activity level.

This info may be hard to show on the profile tab with all of the possible role levels  and not forgetting the possibility of having more than one role.

A report sounds like a good option to easily show a person's roles as it is hard to track down problems with roles.
