Using Latest build of PostgreSQL v9+

Using Latest build of PostgreSQL v9+

We are setting up a new server with Linux Red Hat Enterprise Server v6. The latest PostgreSQL build for that OS is version 9.1.

Original recomendations we received were to use PostgreSQL 8.4, just wondering if it is ok to use the latest PostgreSQL version 9 instead?

Recommend postgres 8.4 over 8.1
