Hi Murali

Someone who has been assigned the default trainer role in a course has the rights to take attendance for a face to face and add and remove attendees on a session.

The session needs to have been completed before attendance can be taken so the date needs to be after the session date.

To take attendance go into the session that has been run as a trainer and there should be a take attendance link

You will then get the option in a drop down box to select No show, partially attended, Fully attended for each person booked on the face to face. Select Save Attendance when finished updating the attendance details.

Hi,

To further clarify Murali's questions, we are looking for the following functionality:

Once the administrator creates a session for the F-2-F course and selects the Trainer (while creating the session), the Trainer should be automatically assigned to the course and it should appear as an event in his calendar.

Currently, when the admin is creating a session and selecting the trainer, the LMS is asking the trainer to sign up/enrol for the F2F session, which should be done automatically.

Also, once the trainer is assigned to the course, will it appear under the My Learnings -> Bookings? Where will the trainer need to go in the site to mark the attendance for the attendees?

Appreciate if you can clarify our doubts on the above functionality.

Hi Murali

To see who has been assigned the Trainer role in a course you can go into the Find Courses and if the course has a Trainer assigned to it they will be listed beneath the course name.

To assign a Trainer to a course - you will need to login as an admin and select the course.

Select the Course Administration block and select the Assign Roles menu.

Select the (Editing) Trainer role and select the users from the right hand column and Add to the left hand column. This can also be done through the Bulk upload of users and adding the role type 2  http://help.totaralms.com/add_user.htm#Bulk_Upload_of_Users

The trainer does not need to accept being added into the trainer role

The attendees are visible to the trainer by clicking on the session name - and there is a link for attendees . There will be a link for attendance when the session date has past.
