In Totara 2, we would like to hide the "My Profile" link in the Navigation block for most users. I thought this would be possible by adusting capabilities such as moodle/user:viewdetails but this doesn't seem to work. Are there other permissions we need to look at ot am I barking up the wrong tree?

Hi Alan,

This would require a fair amount of custom coding. Can I ask why you want to hide "My Profile"? It is possible to restrict access/hide to many parts of the user's screen.

Our customer is trying to pare down the site to a bare minimum. I don't know any specific reason, but it's probably not something worth extra development.

Hi Alan,

A 'simple' solution would be to hide the link / button using CSS.

Also, if this was not an option you are able to hide some of the tabs on the 'My Profile' page via configuration
