Thanks. A google search led me to those project as well.

What we are looking for is a way to send/reflect information about the user's learning items (programs, courses, activities) as well as tasks and alerts in a sharepoint dashlet.

Would web services be a possible starting point for this?

Has anyone done something of this sorts with other CMS's or platforms (Drupal, Joomla, Mahara)?
