(Totara version 2.5.9)

When attempting to apply grades to assignment submission the first attempt to submit the changes simply results in the page refreshing and you changes being lost. Any subsequent attempt will work.

As a Trainer:

1. Go to a course with and Assignment module

2. Click on Assignment module

3. Click View/grade all submissions

4. Click on the edit icon for the student at the top of the list 

5. Edit scores and/or feedback and click save changes - This will work without problem

6. Click continue to return to the submission list

7. Click on the edit icon for any of the students below the first in the list

8. Enter/edit scores and/or feedback and click save changes - page refreshes and data is not updated (changes are lost)

9 Repeat 8. and this time your changes are saved successfully

the workaround is to click on the edit icon, click save changes without entering data or making any changes. Once the page has refreshed, enter your changes and save - sorted. But nit satisfactory of course.

Strange behaviour, but very consistent. Please advise.
