We are moving from Totara 1.9 to 2.5 shortly and will make use of Totara Sync (as I understand it replaces "Upload Totara Positions") to create new users and update existing org / position / user info.
I've not found a great deal of information regarding the set-up and maintenance of the unique id's (User, Position & Org) required to facilitate Totara Sync.
From what I have uncovered these must - as of 2.5 - these must always be unique, but there are no real constraints on format or a way to cross reference these to existing ID's.
Do any of you guys use sync in anger and if so how do you maintain the integrity of this info?
Any tips, experience or best practice that has been established in use would be really appreciated.
