Course Enrolment Notification

Hi,

We would like to know if there is a way to send course enrolment notification via email.

We have tried to enable Manual enrolment expiry notifications in Home > Site administration > Plugins > Message outputs > Default message outputs and set Manual Enrolment in Home > Site administration > Plugins > Enrolments > Manual enrolments to send the email notifications when user is manually enrolled either by Audiences or tagging them manually.

However, we still have not received any email notification despite setting the following:

Home > Site administration > Plugins > Enrolments > Manual enrolments

Enrolment expiration action
Hour to send enrolment expiry notifications: 8 AM
Add instance to new courses: Yes
Enable manual enrolments: Yes
Default role: Learner
Default enrolment start: Now
Default enrolment duration: 2 days
Notify before enrolment expires: Enroller and enrolled users
Notification threshold: 1 day

Home > Site administration > Plugins > Message outputs > Default message outputs

Manual enrolment expiry notifications: Email > Permitted [Online- Yes | Not online - Yes]

I have checked also the setting of the specific course Course Admin > Users > Enrolment method > Manual Enrolment and the settings for Default enrolment duration and the rest are the same.

Any idea what could be the problem? Email is working, Cron is running also.

Hi Mark

Your settings look Ok - can you check the expiry date of a manually enrolled user (Course administrtaion > Users > Enrolled users) and click the settings icon and confirm that the user has an enrolment end date two days after their enrolment starts date.

When you change the manual enrolment plugin expiry default values if the course already has enrolment with this plugin the new expiry date doesn't get applied. To change this in the course go to Users >Enrolment methods > manual enrolments and change the default enrolment duration.

If this looks alright then can you create a support ticket so we can investigate.

Hi Craig,

Thanks for this. Did receive the email after a day and two though so not sure if it is just an email delay.

Anyway, it is now working fine after a couple of retries.
