Sending oout hard copy workbooks

Hi we have a requirement on some courses to send out a physical copy of a workbook when a user enrols on a course.

What's the best way managing this so we only send the book out once?

Just bumping this in case anyone has any ideas.

What sometimes happens is thet the learner goes on the course and fails the exam so has to re-do the course but doesn't need a new workbook.

so we need to keep a log of who has already had a workbook and who hasn't so we don't send extra ones out if someone re-does the course

Hi Anthony,

I think maybe one way of doing this would be to have two activities in the course. One could be for requesting the workbook - say a quiz with one question - say 'do you want a workbook?'.

The second activity could be the exam, and the course is conditional on completing both activities, so the course doesnt need to be retaken, just the exam activity.

An activity completion report would show who has requested a workbook, and if it has been sent.
