Dear,

to maintain the security and policy compliance with our organization, we would like to explore the possibility of totara hosted to internet for our users having 2 - factor authentication. can we build in Totara 2-factor Authentication for Internet users and Moodle Mobile APP users. Does totara support the same example user with AD is authenticated and then an OTP SMS or token entered for second authentication.

Kindly need your feedback on the above.

Hi Ahmed

There is currently an improvement ticket TL-16231 to investigate adding a two factor authentication to the manual authentication plugin. Some discussion has been had to assess how this could be done technically and also could be applied to other authentication methods if requested.

What authentication method would you require two factor authentication on ?
