Hi,
I have add an activity as a file ppt in my course but when I make a click on my ppt it is downloading on my machine and I want that ppt should be open in same window of my course page.
I have tried to uplaod the ppt in pps, ppsx, pdf with appearance -> embed but still its not opening in course page.
If any one knows how to fix this please help me

There is not a way through the UI to embed the PDF right on the course page - resources like that are linked to prevent the course page from getting too long.

You can't do this natively with powerpoint BUT there is a work around.
Upload the ppt to GoogleDrive and convert it to a slides file.
Then go to publish and there's an embed link
If you put this embed link in a WYSIWYG editor (label, page, etc) it will embed your presentation for you.
