We are planning on publishing 30+programs - none of these are compulsory. Therefore manual enrolment is not suitable.

The learner self-enrolment feature works very well for courses.

Wondering if there is a way for learners to self-enrol into programs?

If this is not possible, have you used any tricks to get self enrolment to work for programs?

We are using Totara v2.7.

Hi Craig, I just assumed users would be able to self-enrol and unenrol from programs if you allowed this. I'm a bit shocked this isn't available. Is it coming?

Unfortunately learners don't have access to edit their profiles.

Unfortunately, we would like to limit access to the appropriate programs.

Vijay - Here's my preferred core method:
  • Create a single activity course with a label activity that the user self-completes (check box)
  • Completing the label activity completes the course
  • Dynamic audience created for all users who complete course
  • Audience enrollment in desired Program
Not perfect, but allows for self-enrollment in programs

This makes sense. More work for trainer/admin but better/easier process for the learners.

Because these programs are essentially pathways, there may be situations where the learner having completed some of the courses (80%) wants to withdraw from the program. 

Is there an easy way for the learner to uneroll from the program (self-unenrollment)?

OR

We can ask them to contact us (site managers). Is there an easy way for site managers to uneroll them?
