We have a Totara 2.9.2 install that we are hosting for a customer LMS. The site has been live since December the 5th, 2017, when it replaced an old Moodle install.

Recently, we discovered when running reports and exporting them as either Excel or ODS format, that the files produced were damaged. When the .xslx files were repaired by Excel, we could then open them. We hadn't been aware of this before now as up until now, all reports that we generated were output as CSV.

Also, the Excel files contain the phrase "This report contains records matching the following criteria:", whereas the CSV does not. I don't know if that's normal or not.

Both the Excel and ODS export plugins are at version 2015100200.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on here, or have experienced this themselves?
