Hi all,

As part of our seminar setup, we have created a custom field at site level where we ask users to let us know of any accessibility requirements that they may have, and this works well for all seminars.

However, we're now in a situation where we need to gather mandatory information as part of sign ups for specific seminars, and this doesn't appear to be possible with Totara as it is - custom fields being set only at site level.

For example, for one seminar we might want to identify a learner's MBTI type, on another their favourite colour, and on another what pets they have - well, not really, but you get the idea.

Can anyone advise if this can be achieved, either by setting custom fields at seminar level or by using some crafty html to selectively display these - and if it is NOT possible, can Totara please advise whether they can add this as a feature request?

HI Ian,

This is a great idea and came up during the Seminars webinar today as well! You can add feature suggestions here in the Suggest Totara Learn Features forum. I have moved your post over to the Totara Learn specific forum - the General forum used to house all of the discussions but we've started splitting them out so that people could choose what general topics they want to subscribe to.

I'll hold up my hand and admit that it was me who raised it on the webinar as well! but on the call you suggested that you might be able to check whether there is an existing way of gathering different information for different webinars - have you had an opportunity to do this?

I've had a look and the changes I'm seeing focus more on seminar session attendance changes, rather than the sign-up workflow.
