Is it possible to have the carousel open on a specific slide?

Could you give me a bit more information? What activity or tool are you using? If you're uploading a PPT, the user will need to download it to access it.

Hi Wes,

I'd added a carousel block and wanted it to start on a specific slide which I managed to work out how to do.

But I couldn't figure out was:

1 - how to delete slides

2 - How to reorder the slides if desired

Well I did work out you could do it if you started a new carousel block but wondered if there was a slightly easier way.

Hi, Larry

Is "Carousel" the name of the block, or are you referring to another block e.g. 'Featured Links' and using the gallery functionality? There isn't a core block named "Carousel", so I'm not sure what to advise you at the moment.

Yes, the name of the block is Carousel.

Thanks for getting back to me. The Carousel block is not a Totara core block, so I am unable to advise you on its inner workings I'm afraid. Most 3rd party developed blocks will likely have a plugin page (possibly a Moodle plugin?), or GitHub page where you might be able to obtain further support.

There may also be others in the community here which use the same block and might be able to advise.

Did you have any luck with figuring out how to delete slides or re-order them? I'm trying to update one of our carousel images but can't delete the one that's there.  Slightly different to your query but any help would be awesome :)

Hi Jo,

Not really.

What I ended up doing was adding a new carousel block with the slides in the order that I wanted them.

Then I deleted the original carousel and replaced it with my new one.
