I would like to create a program for new starters which includes:

  • two course sets which have mandatory courses where course set one needs to be completed within one week and the second course set needs to be completed within two weeks – these course sets include seminars and Scorm activities

  • one course set which includes one course which includes a topic activity with additional/optional resources per topic that learners can access on demand – course set completion is optional

What I would like to happen is for the completion of the program to be based on the two course sets with mandatory courses as it doesn’t matter if they access the third course set which has optional additional resources. The key is the first two course sets are completed.

Is this possible? If yes, what's the best way to do this?

Hi Miranda,

Apologies for the late reply.

You can use the 'Course set due messages' to inform Learners when they must complete course sets. They can be set by using the 'minimum time required' setting in the course set.

The logic you could use would be something like:

 CS1 (required 1 week) THEN CS2 (required 1 week) THEN CS3 (optional).
