I would like to create an audience that includes only those individuals that are a Manager's Manager. In the audience rule set options there is an option under the job assignment for users that have direct reports but not an option for users that have indirect reports. Has anyone had any luck with creating an audience for Manager's Manager?

This isn't possible at present. We have a Feature request for the functionality, TL-17469 "Has indirect reports" as dynamic audience criteria, but I think it order to do it now you'd need another metric - like an organisation hierarchy ID perhaps.
