How does your company handle Trainer & Admin grades

Hi Totara Community


i was looking for some best practice suggestions for handling Admin accts (me) and our Editing Trainer records/grades?  As im sure you all know a lot of our grading does not record in the system due to our permission levels.  I know some companies just have us create another account for compliance training but i was hoping some of you smart cookies had figured something else out?

Hi Christina

I think the best practice is to have separate accounts for adding grades and receiving grades - otherwise the person who can add grades can change the grade on their own account if they have a learner and trainer role in the one account rather than two accounts.

The site logs do show who changed grades so this will be recorded but the records may be difficult to find as every transaction is recorded. 

Is the creation of the extra account causing some issues for you?
