We are also working on setting up competencies through Totara at the US Department of Agriculture. We have not yet started to input them yet, but we did use them in our prior LMS. I can definitely see where we would utilize a scenario where competencies CAN be inherited from parents, but I think we would prefer to choose which ones are inherited. We have several different types of competencies, and someone in a parent org might have a job-specific competency that we would not want inherited down the org structure, but we would want the leadership and general competencies inherited.
