Dear team,

If I want to create a seminar in Totara, do I create through adding a course (single activity> seminar> adding sessions/events)?

When choosing the course type, there are three different types: E-learning, blended learning and Seminar. What is the purpose of this course type? If I want to create a seminar but I chose category E-learning instead, how would it have any effect? 

Is the purpose of these 3 different types for reporting only? I have attached a screenshot below.

Hi Qingrou,

The only thing impacted by choosing the different types is the reporting - if you filter the course catalog or a report based on the Course Type, you'll see it, but otherwise it doesn't drive any behaviour from the site.
