Hi all,
I hope you’re all having a great start to the week. Here’s an overview of just some of the interesting things that are happening in the Community this week.
Version 12 programs launched!
If you’ve started to use Totara Learn 12 in your organisation, or if you’re considering an upgrade then we’re happy to announce that both the Site Administrator and Performance Manger programs for Totara Learn 12 are available now.
If you’ve already certified in Totara Learn 11, don’t worry! We’ve got a Totara Learn 12 bridging program just for you.
All of the Academy courses allow self-enrolment. So, if you’re looking to improve your understanding and use Totara Learn to its full potential, why not start your training today?
Share best-practice ideas
Would you like to talk directly to your peers about the issues that affect you and your organisation’s learning solutions? Well if you work in healthcare or the public sector, now you can. Join our healthcare or government sector spaces today to start sharing best practice with specialists from all over the world. We’ve got plenty more sector spaces in the pipeline too, so keep an eye out for updates.
And if you’d like to meet with your peers face-to-face then early bird tickets for the New Zealand user conference, which will take place in Wellington on the 7-8th August, are now available.
Upcoming webinars – product-focus sessions
We’ve got several product-focus sessions coming up this month as we focus on both seminars and competencies.
Some training requires a real-life trainer and a face-to-face session. If you need to schedule live sessions, sign-up learners, send reminders, select rooms and track attendance, then you can do all of this through the seminar functionality. To learn how to do all this and more join Wes on the 26th June at 8.00 (AEST) / 11.00 (EDT) / 16.00 (BST). The session will be repeated on the 27th June at 9.00 (NZT).
Skills, knowledge and behaviours underpin employees' and organisations’ strengths. Equipping your team with the relevant knowledge and skills can help to motivate and retain your staff. One of the best ways to manage the development of a team’s skills is to use a competency framework. On the 12th June at 8.00 (AEST) / 11.00 (EDT)/ 16.00 (BST) we’ll be running a webinar all about competencies. So, if you want to ensure your team are developing in the right areas then register for the session. This webinar will be repeated on the 13th June at 9.00 (NZT).
Best-practice webinars
We’ve got some great best-practice webinars to inspire you on how to take your learning solutions further.
On the 26th June at 10.00 (BST) we’re starting the day with a webinar on how to build effective animation for learning. If you’ve taken any Academy courses you’ll have seen we use animations to explain key concepts such as this one on competencies. In this webinar, our Visual Design Lead, Matt Stokes, will take you behind the scenes and show you how we create animations for training.
Also on the 26th June at 10.00 (EDT)/ 15.00 (BST) Lori Niles-Hofmann will be providing pragmatic steps on how to create better learning experiences. Join Lori as she addresses the top ten key barriers to workplace learners and provides practical guidance on the actions you can take to harness and adapt the tools, people and processes around you. A big hit with attendees at our recent EMEA user conference, this is one you won’t want to miss!
Are you looking to build an award-winning learning solution for your organisation? Then learn from those that already have! On the 3rd July at 10.00 (EDT) / 15.00 (BST) Geneviève Schärer, Education Programme & Strategic Implementation Manager will walk us through this award-winning project from EULAR and LearnChamp.
Don’t forget, you can see all of our upcoming webinars here and you can catch up on anything you’ve missed on our webinars on demand page.
P.S. If you’d like to take a behind the scenes look and learn all about the journey of building the Totara Community and the Totara Academy then our Head of Community Services, Rachel Griffith-Boyes, will be leading a webinar on community building this Thursday on the 6th June at 12 pm (BST).
Have a great week.
Matt
