Can a seminar be set up so that its completion marks a series of other courses as complete?

The nature of our training is specific to certain lab spaces and I am trying to set up a seminar where the practical aspects of a number of topics are covered. Trainees have already completed a course via 'read and understand' learning which covers the same topic. I am trying to set up course completion so that trainees are marked as trained once the are marked as having fully attended one seminar.

Could anyone advise on how to go about this please?

I'm looking at:

Course completion/condition:completion of other courses

Thank you

Michele

Hi Michele,

You can set the Completion requirements to be 'Course is complete when ALL conditions are met', then you can use other course completions AND an activity completion ie the seminar.

Or you can have the other activities ('read and understand') in the same course as the seminar, and you can set completion as being dependent on all the activities being complete.

You could also set 'Restrict access' in the Seminar such that it doesn't become available until other activities are complete, or you could create a dynamic audience which enrolls users into a course with the seminar event only if the have completed a set of course/s.

Please feel free to ask any questions!

cheers,

George.
