I searched for organsiation placeholders using the language customisation interface and found {$a->organisationid} which I think should work by adding using language customisation into the message.
If this doesn't work then a coding change would be required.
There is a new system for defining replaceable placeholders that will be part of the centralised notifications currently being worked on for the Totara 13 release.
