Hide courses in bulk

Hi, I need an advice on how to hide courses in bulk. These courses are in one category that is currently hidden. I thought that if I move the courses to the category that is hidden, the courses themselves will also be hidden - that is, users will not find them in the catalog. However, my theory does not work, so users still see courses in the hidden category in the catalog, unless those courses have visibility set to No Users. Currently, course visibility is set to Enrolled users only or Enrolled user and members of the selected audiences. It is a large number of courses (about 1000) and therefore it is not real to adjust the visibility manually at each course. Do you know the solution to hide multiple courses in bulk?

Hi Martin

The reason for the category visibility not affecting the visibility of courses in the category is because the course visibility is being controlled with audience based visibility.

If you turn off audience based visibility then hiding the category will hide the courses in the category

I can't think of a way this can be done in bulk with audience based visibility turned on - each course needs to be hidden in the course and category management screen.

This sounds like it would be a good feature request to include a deselect/select all link here
