Navigation Block Participants

Hello

The course Navigation Block (https://help.totaralearning.com/display/TL12/Navigation+Block) links to the course participants. This means a user can see all other participants in a course, including their city and last access date.

Is it possible to prevent this? We would prefer users couldn't see other user details.

Thanks, Simon

Hi Simon

There is a permission 'View participant's and also 'View course participation report' that can be prevented for the roles you want (Learner)

This should stop the viewing of other participants details.

Hi Craig,

thank you for your reply. I have a similar problem and your reply helped me to figure out how to proceed. However, I can't find how to actually prevent the new role I created to see the other participants.

When I created the new role I used the "Student / Learner" as model because my new role should have similar permission. When I edit it, I can only tick "Allow" for "View participants".

Have I missed a step?

Thanks,

Ombretta

Hi Ombretta,

Click the 'show advanced' button just above the capability list which will give you more permission options
