How to identify deleted users of 7+ years

Hello

I’m trying to identify deleted users accounts that are more than 7 years old for GDPR purposes.

The standard Totara report for deleted users does not seem to have an option for filtering by:

  • User Deleted date

The closest I can get to is the field:

  • User last modified date

But not all deleted users have this field completed and I’m not sure exactly what the definition of user last modified is.

Does anyone know what is the best filter to use to identify how long a user has been deleted? or provide any best practice on identifying these accounts

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul

I tried manually deleting a user and the date the user was deleted was recorded in the user last modified date. How were the use's deleted in your case?

It is also possible to purge deleted users data to delete selected data of deleted users - if the first and last name was one of fields selected for purging then the user data wouldn't be identifiable.

A record of the user is kept under Site admin > User data management > Purges and Deleted users accounts

This report is able to be modified so the user last modified date can be filtered on.
