Is there a way to attach a file like a pdf or a PowerPoint to a specific event, or even better to the notification for a specific event?

When I go into the details section of an event, the HTML editor has an icon that looks like an attachment icon, but it is "Manage files."  If I upload a file using manage files, it doesn't show up for the user anywhere.

Hi Jacque

It is possible to add custom fields to and Event - one of these field types is a file.

Seminar notifications allow the addition of custom field placeholders  the format of the placeholder is [session:shortname]. Where 'shortname' is the shortname of the Seminar custom field.

Can you try this out and see if this works as expected.

Hi Craig,

Thank you for your assistance.  I created the field and successfully added the file to my event; however the notification did not include the attachment.  I'm not sure if I did something wrong.

See attached screenshots.

Hi Jacque

I tried this and a link was created in the email which points to the file in Totara - the user would need to be logged into Totara to see the file.

The placeholder should be in the format [session:fileattachment]
