Hello,

Are there any requirements for a username when it is created via the HR Import feature?

Hi Ian,

The username requirements are set here: 

Home/Site administration/Security/Security settings - Allow extended characters in usernames.

The setting states:

Default: No

Enable this setting to allow learners to use any characters in their usernames (note this does not affect their actual names). The default is "false" which restricts usernames to be alphanumeric lowercase characters, underscore (_), hyphen (-), period (.) or at symbol (@).

The setting applies to the creation of all usernames, regardless of how they are created.
