Previously our workshop events have run on consecutive days, but now because we have switched to virtual delivery we are now delivering them over non-consecutive days. Previously the Totara booking notification populated the event in the learners Outlook calendar but now we have a 'gap' day the notification has a .ics file attached to it instead.
This is causing confusion as learners aren't used to this and I have found that they simply aren't saving the .ics file and importing it into the calendar so the course isn't showing as a meeting in their Outlook calendar (this could easily result in non-attendance).
The courses have been created with one seminar activity with each session as an event (see example screenshot below). If we were running it on consecutive days it wouldn't be a problem but because the 21st Jan is not a course day it isn't being added to their Outlook calendars.
Does anyone have any alternative ways to get around this? I would appreciate any suggestions from other users as what they do in similar situations.
Thanks in advance,
Sue
