Hi Carol,

Try investigating CLOZE questions. They are a little bit trickier to set up, but you have some more control. Here is an example:

the parking tender must keep {1:MULTICHOICE:=%100%vehicle#OK~%100%personnel#OK~%0%OTHERANSWER1#WRONG~%0%OTHERANSWER2#WRONG} and {1:MULTICHOICE:=%100%vehicle#OK~%100%personnel#OK~%0%OTHERANSWER1#WRONG~%0%OTHERANSWER2#WRONG} out of the safety circle.

This way still has some issues however as users could technically put "vehicles and vehicles" and be awarded full marks.

Here is a link to learn more about CLOZE questions.

Hope that helps,

Tom Gillespie

Hi Carol,

If you wanted some more guidance on using different question types in Totara, I'd also recommend our Advanced Quiz course in the Totara Academy. There's a demonstration of how to set up different question types (including the CLOZE questions Tom mentions) in the activity called 'Show me: Quiz question types'.

Hope that helps!
