Passed/Failed scorm output

Hi guys,

I am trying to setup a course page where the learner will only have 1 attempt at an assessment in a scorm activity. If they fail the assessment (<80%) I want a label to appear that informs the learner that they cannot take the assessment again for another week. When I exported the rise module I chose passed/fail as the scorm tracking on the quiz and on the course completion I chose learner must receive a pass mark and course marked as passed to be complete.

When I test the scorm activity and fail the system doesn't update and show the message that the person has failed? any ideas what the problem could be? I also tested the scorm in cloud scorm and it is definitely reporting a fail.

I have uploaded images of the page settings.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Clive

When I go into a SCORM completion condition there is only an option for require status as Passed or Completed. There isn't a failed status but this is the status that is being checked in the Access restriction setting.

Can you go to the grade book record of a user who has completed the SCORM and see what the status is showing - it will be either Passed or Completed. Whatever value is here is the one you should select for the completion condition.

Then go into the second activity and select 'Restrict access' Learner Must not have the first activity marked as complete.
