Hi,

I'm doing this for a course and everything appears to work but when I go into check the user is not updating and getting a RPL completion.

I set up a course page with just myself and ran an upload with the same results.

I'm assuming the affected user's record would update straight away and when I look in the completion editor I can see the record under history.

The course completion is based on completing an activity but I thought that would not have any bearings as it is a RPL completion.

Is there something basic I might be missing here?

thanks

Hi Larry

The expected behaviour when uploading a course completion for an existing course is to add this as RPL as they have not actually completed the course or activities.

If you don't want this to be uploaded to history then you can select the option 'Override current course completions '

Use the course completion editor to change the completion record to how you want them

Hi Craig,

I used that override current course completions and it worked.

As there wasn't an existing course completion I didn't think I needed to check that box. But I'm guessing a blank course completion still counts.

I'm curious as to when you wouldn't use that override the current course completions?

thanks

Hi Larry

Glad this worked for you . You might want to turn off override current course completion if for some reason you were wanting to keep a record of a previous course completion.

Say the course was for a drivers licence and the driving licence requirements recently changed and you have a defined time to get your new licence  You might want to record the fact you passed the old licence but also want to enrol in the new course  It's sort of a basic certification scenario.
