Custom Certificate

I have created a template for a custom certificate- Updated NWCG Certificate with Signatures . It works fine for me as a site administrator. However, when an editing trainer loads the template and then tries to Reposition Elements, the background doesn't show up. This is a problem since they need to drag the instructor's name into place and they can't see where to place it.

This is what I see in the background images when I edit the template "Updated NWCG Certificate with Signatures":

This is what I see for background images when I load the template "Updated NWCG Certificate with Signatures".

Background options- when you load the template for a certificate

A few of the images are the same, but most of them are not. The image "Updated NWCG Certificate Background" is not available.

Any ideas what may be happening and/or how to fix it?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Karen

Can you confirm you are uploading the images when logged in as site admin and selecting

Site administration > Plugins > Activity modules > Certificate Upload image

This should upload these so the images are accessible to the unaltered editing trainer role.

Almost. I go to Site Administration > Plugins > Activity modules > Custom Certificate > Custom Certificate Settings> Upload Image

I uploaded the background image "4-14-21 NWCG Background with signature"

But, when I load a template, it shows up as an option in the Image dropdown, but it's not there under Upload Image.

Hi Karen

It sounds like you are using a third party plugin Custom Certificate - I am not familiar with this module unfortunately .

I am not sure if this continues to work in the latest Totara - other partners may be using this and let you know if there are any issues.
