Overriding certification expiry dates

Hi all,

I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for managing the following scenario.

We deliver an advanced life support course to our employees which is valid for 12 months so has been configured as a certification. We do however also acknowledge external completion as it is very possible the employee is employed at another health services organisation (and completed their delivery of the course) or completed the course at a RTO. Sometimes these external bodies provide a certificate which is valid for > 12 months.

Our only way of managing this (as we know) is to manually update the expiry date for the employee in the certification, so that instead of expiring in 12 months, they expire based on the validity period of the certificate they attained.

Is there perhaps a more efficient way we can manage this?

Thanks!

Hi Bianca

It is possible to add a due date when uploading Certification completion records which you could set to a period greater than 12 months.

If you are using Recertification date is 'Use fixed expiry date' or  'Certification expiry date' then the expiry for recertification is calculated using the due date uploaded.

Test this out first to see this does what you are wanting
