Is there a method of ensuring progress within SCORM package (rise and storyline) is maintained when new version of the SCORM file is uploaded to the activity in a course in the LMS. Some research has suggested ensuring the identifier is the same within the old and new version of the SCORM package file. Is there a way to achieve this?

When you publish the new package the identifier should be one of the fields filled in .
If you are editing an existing package the identifier should remain the same.
If the new package has the same identifier and is uploaded in over the same activity then the old attempts should be kept.
