customising enrolment notification emails

Hi everyone,

We have put in additional safeguards to our email system to combat phising etc. This has resulted in some learners reporting the auto generated emails from our LMS as suspicious. One of the warnings that they see is that the email comes from an address outside our organisation - currently noreply@totarahosting.co.nz.

  1. Is it possible to replace the FROM no-reply address under Server/Email/outgoing mail configuration with a different email e.g. noreply@ourorganisation.co.nz? I would image the name implies that this email doesn't go anywhere so it doesn't matter what the from email is and it is not linked to an actual email account?
  2. Is it possible to customize the auto generated system emails e.g. by adding a logo to the program enrolment email to help assure staff that the email is legitimate? I can't see where this would be done in the system if its possible.

Thanks for the help.

Clive

Hi Clive

It is possible to set a noreply email under email configuration settings  the emails may also be rejected if the spf record isn't registered for your domain

It is also possible to brand emails in Totara through the Ventura theme in 13 and 14

Thanks Craig. Apologies I should have mentioned we are on version 12, I take it that the email customisation is not possible under version 12?

Hi Clive

Yes that is right you will need to upgrade to get this - I think there was some trick to do involving coding that was provided in the community - Will try and locate this.
