As we approach the end of 2021, we’re celebrating some of the many things we’ve achieved as a Community this year. One of those is all the Academy courses you have completed. Between you, Community users have received well over 5000 course badges this year alone! We’d particularly like to celebrate those users who have significantly increased their Totara knowledge this year. So for the first time, we are issuing special badges for learning achievement over the year, based on the number of badges received. Users who have completed more than 40 courses and programs this year will receive our bronze learning achievement badge. Users who have completed more than 50 will receive silver, and those of you who have completed a huge 60 or more courses or programs this year will receive our gold badge.
The badges will be awarded in the new year, so you still have time to complete any courses you’re working towards! If you’re not sure how many badges you’ve received this year, you can find out on the new block on Your dashboard.
Helpful contributor badge
This week, we’ve also honoured a small number of Community users with this year’s Most Helpful Contributor badge, which you might spot next to their forum posts. This award recognises the contribution these users make to starting and responding to Community discussions in forums and workspaces. We appreciate all of your contributions making the Community the place it is.

We’ll be starting next year with a webinar on the 19th of January with Totara’s Chief Learning Officer, Lars Hyland, as he explores the difference between Talent Experience and Talent Management to reflect on which really boosts employee engagement.

Then on the 26th of January, we’ll be joined by Dave Millner, Consulting Partner @HRCurator for a webinar that will help to dispel some of the myths about an evidence-based approach and share thoughts about how to change the way that L&D operate in 2022.
