Can a grader get an overview of all the assignments (from all his/her learners and courses) that he/she still has to grade?
I know of the notifications and the grader report, but I'm not sure if there is such a high-level view?

There is a report source called Assignment submissions that lists all of the assignments across the site and their submissionm status.
This isn't able to be filtered by the grader but is able to be be filtered by multiple course categories or by a course.

I've used the Grade Me block (https://moodle.org/plugins/block_grade_me) which can be placed at a Category level to pick up all courses within that category, where the user is a Trainer/Evaluator.
This has worked quite well for our manually graded Assessments!
