Enrolled on course notifications still being sent

Hi,

Using Totara 16.0, when disabling the sitewide "Learner Enrolled in Course" notification, emails are still being sent out to users when they enrol themselves onto a course.

When looking at the course settings, the option is no longer showing.

Please can someone advise how to prevent these email notifications from being sent? It is acceptable for all of these "Learner Enrolled in Course" notifications to be disabled.

Thanks,

Pete

Hi Pete,

It sounds like this could be the course welcome message for when users self enrol in a course.

If you edit self enrolment, is anything selected in the 'Send course welcome message' option?

Hi Jordan,

Yes,  in the 'Send course welcome message' it was set to 'From the Course Contact'.

I'll get this updated to 'No', I would have thought the notification settings would have trumped this one though.

Thanks very much for your help,
Pete

Hi Jordan,

We have implemented that change and set the 'Send course welcome message' option to "No", but the emails are still going out when participants self enrol onto a course.
Are there any other settings that may be causing this to happen?

Thanks,

Pete

Hi Pete,

It might be worth raising a helpdesk ticket so our support team can investigate this further.
