We created several user profile fields regrouped in new categories to adapt to one of our clients' needs.
They are displayed as required when we click on the "edit profile" link, but on the main user profile page, they appear all messy in the user details block - no categories, no way to change the order.
Has anyone tried to have the profile page display the same structure and visual as the "edit profile" page ?

I tried this in v16 of Totara and was able to change the order of the custom profile fields in the Default profile page there are arrows to move them and this order is what is displayed in the profile page. Note - fields without values aren't displayed
You are correct the category names are not included on the default profile page - are you or your partner able to suggest an improvement through the help desk
To format the contents you should be able to target the block with the id contained in the data-instanceid element and add Custom CSS through the Ventura theme setting
