I have been looking at the possibility of making our fire training refresher, one year of e-Learning the next year face-to-face and so on.
I can not see a clear way to do this other than creating different certifications that alternate each year to make the user follows the recert path wanted.
Does anyone have any ideas or do something similar already?

My idea is to have the one course with the elearning activity and face to face activity added
You could have an Access restriction for each activity for a date so the activity is not accessible on these dates.
The course completion would be based on completing either activity - at the end of the certification cycle each activity completion would be reset
