I'm trying to create a custom certificiate but I get the error message error/unknownparamtype.
I've searched the web for solutions but cant find what the problem is.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix it or experienced this kind of problem?

Are you using a third party plugin to create the custom certificate or using the existing certificate module to customise this?
If you are using the existing certificate can you describe what you have changed ?
If it is a third party plugin then the plugin author may be able to help you to make this compatible with Totara.

Thank you for your reply.
We are using the excisting certificate module. The problem occurs when we want to add a new cetrificate in a course. We can add the activity but when we try to save it we get the error message.

Are you or your partner able to create a support ticket to fix this please include the Totara version number and recreation steps - this sounds like a bug.
