The request to me is, "How do managers see if a course is mandatory or optional for a team member?" They need to know if their staff are meeting the competency requirements and encourage their staff to do the mandatory courses. 

We have multi-disciplinary teams, so each person may have a different learning plan, competencies, and courses. The person setting up the competency can determine that a course is mandatory at the competency level. But how do managers see and know this? So far all my research shows that the 'mandatory' and 'optional' setting for courses in competencies has very little influence beyond the initial setup.

Any suggestions on how to indicate in a report which courses are mandatory for a person (in their relevant competencies), that can be viewed by admin or managers, would be greatly appreciated.
