Totara 12 Server Performance Issues & Tech Requirements

We are experiencing extreme server performance issues in both UAT and production environments.

Servers grind to a halt when we do seemingly simple tasks like attempting to download reports. These reports are large, but not huge - 67k rows, but 10 columns. We switched our download format from .xlsx to .csv but still have the performance issues. This sounds like we are grossly underpowered and/or are not using the most recent server software.

Questions:

Is there a tech brief that describes the minimum and recommended tech including:
Server space allocations?
RAM?
Server software names and versions?
Optimization settings?

As long as we are talking tech, we are updating to V15 or 16. Does anyone have a nice comparative tech requirements doc for V15 & 16?

Sorry to hear of the performance problems - we do have sites that are a lot larger than your site that are performing acceptably.

There are a lot of interrelated factors that can affect site performance. I recommend if you haven't already to create a support ticket outlining your environment and processing and any error messages.

There is some guidance in the documents for server setup and requirements and also recommended hosting environment
