Hi there,

I have searching for the user account settings page that could allow me to make the Id number field (under optional) a required field so that when our administrator create new user accounts, if they don't put something in the field, it will prevent them from saving. I have tested the field and it has to be unique but it allows new user accounts to be created with it blank. A warning only appears if the field is left blank if HR import box is ticked.

Hi Winnie

The id number field is what is used to uniquely identify a record when using HR Import . This field is not mandatory as records can also be created manually , bulk uploading users and through  external authentication systems.

If you want to make a field mandatory then the way to do this is through user profile field and making it required and unique

Thanks Craig for confirming it isn't possible make it a required field unless I recreate a custom one..
