Does anyone know any way I can turn off calendar invites for those who only have requested bookings to seminars?
Staff are getting calendar invites when they request to attend seminars (that haven't yet been confirmed/properly booked), and turning up even if it hasn't been confirmed.

If you are using centralsied notifications introduce in Totara 16 then login as admin and Notifications > Seminar > Booking request created and disable
This will apply at the site level and can also be disabled at the course or seminar level through the Notifications menu,
If you are using the old notifications then go into Seminar administration and select notification

Is there a way the notification of request sent can still be sent through just not in the format of a calendar invite?
We still want the staff members to receive an email confirmation about that, but just not as a calendar invite as that seems to be where the confusion is.

If you edit the notification there is an option to not include the iCal (the calendar information)
In the legacy notifications this option isn't there.

Thanks so much for your response! This looks like it will help. Apologies - but I can't seem to find this page. Can you let me know where it would be?
I've checked Seminar Administration > Notifications on the particular course, and site-wide notifications, and I cannot find anything similar to that.
Could it be because we're on version 15 and this isn't available yet?

That is right - Centralised seminar notifications were added in Totara 16 so would need an upgrade to access this.
