Dashboards - Accessible but Hidden from List?

Hi everyone

We are wanting to use dashboards within dashboards i.e. a dashboard with a report attached to a featured link block on a dashboard so that the users can't muck around with the report filters.

We have got this working - the user logins in - their dashboard displays. They click a featured link block and it takes them a dashboard with a report table displayed on it.

The problem is if the person has more than one role - they could have multiple dashboards (displayed as a list on their dashboard).

Is there a way we can hide these "report dashboards" from their list whilst still giving them access to it via the featured link.

I have tried re-ordering the dashboard list so it is hidden but that doesn't work.

Anyone have any ideas on how we can achieve this?

Thanks

Raechel

Hi Raechel

Not sure whether I have understood what you have setup but are you able to assign the user to an audience and assign the dashboard to the audience so only the audience member can see the dashboard?

Hi Raechel,

One idea that might work for you is to remove the dashboards block from your dashboard.

If you still need to give your users access to their other dashboards, you could do this using a featured links block. You can restrict visibility of each featured links tile to certain audiences - so users will only be able to see the managers dashboard if they are in the managers audience.
